ABOUT
The Bauman House is a quintessential bungalow vacation rental located on the North end of downtown Sonora. The home was built circa 1910 by George & Mary Bauman, with the property originally belonging to Mrs. Bauman's parents, The Willestens. The Bauman's have ties to the original Sonora Brewing Company and the Sonora Hospital.

The home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living room, enclosed patio, and plenty of places to relax outside.

Whether you are in town for a little getaway, antique shopping, hiking, or need a place for a bridal party to get ready, we welcome you.

Located on the north end of downtown Sonora. Walk along a sidewalk that runs the entire side of the street to food, museums, and great shops.

Relax inside with board games for the entire family. We've even curated games about Sonora & the gold rush.

We love Sonora' s history so we've worked with the historical society to uncover the history of The Bauman House in order to share it with you.

All guests will have access to Wifi . We also offer a smart TV so you can log in to your own favorite streaming service/s.

The house comes with a fully stocked kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Bring our clothes and toilletries, we have the rest. You can find an entire list when booking.

THINGS TO DO
Wineries & Cider
Take a picnic lunch to Indegeny Cider Reserve. There you can take in the beautiful location and taste some yummy hard cider. Nearby Murphy's has a long list of winerieis for you to visit as well.
Museums
Within walking distance you will find the Sonora Fire Museum, Tulomne County Museum, and the Veteran's Memorial Museum. You will find numerous Historic locations in downtown Sonora and Columbia is a very short drive away.
Farmer's Market
The Sonora Certified Farmer's Market is held every Saturday from May-October. It is located within walking distance, on Stewart Street.
Browse Downtown
Downtown Sonora has some amazing places to shop, eat, and just browse through. You will find antique shops, a book store, clothing boutiques, and an art gallery. You can dine onThai, sushi, American, and Mexican food to name a few.
Outdoor Activities
Sonora and the surrounding areas boast so many outdoor activities it is hard to list them all here. Play at the park/skate park in town, go sledding in Pinecrest or take a hike in Yosemite. The list goes on and on.
Special Events
Sonora has some great events throughout the year. Our favorites include trick-or-treating at the shops downtown, the Christmas Parade, and Art Night. There are always events taking place at the fairgrounds as well.
